Updating From WinSpiroPRO to MIR Spiro

GUIDE ON UPDATING FROM WINSPRIOPRO TO MIR SPIRO

As you may not have heard, MIR has discontinue the winspiroPRO software and has stopped providing software updates.

The new software MIR Spiro is a cutting-edge software solution for Spirometry and Oximetry, fully compatible with all professional MIR devices. Robust and advanced, it delivers a variety of innovative features, including a modernized interface and customizable settings that enhance diagnostic accuracy, ease of use, and support for clinical decision-making. It also integrates seamlessly with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems.

Optimized for both MacOS and Windows, MIR Spiro guarantees a stable, reliable, and enduring user experience on both desktop and laptop platforms.

MIR Spiro supports all professional MIR devices and adheres to the latest international standards and guidelines for Spirometry (ATS/ERS 2005 + 2019 update; ISO 23747: 2015; ISO 26782: 2009), Oximetry (ISO 80601-2-61:2017), and more.

UNFORTUNATELY THERE ARE MIR DEVICES THAT ARE NOT COMPATIBLE WITH THE NEW (MIR SPIRO) SOFTWARE

Devices NOT Compatible at all: All those devices already discontinued when MIR SPIRO has been launched, i.e. Spirolab III, Spirobank G, Spirobank USB, Old Minispir (like the blue or grey ones)

There are DEVICES compatible with MIR SPIRO but are still working on ATS2005: All devices that have sold till beginning 2023. This means that there devices, with “old firmware” are capable to work on both WinspiroPRO and MIR SPIRO, but on MIR SPIRO they will still work on ATS2005.

How to make them work with ATS2019?

By updating the device internal firmware. Check with us about the latest firmware available (by providing Serial number – this is mainly for Spirolab)

What happen if I move from ATS2005 to ATS2019 Firmware?

Your devices will not be able to work on WinspiroPRO any longer.

What happen if I try to make a downgrade?

Your device will be blocked. Upgrading firmware makes the device boot change. A new boot with old device will not work.

How to solve this issue?

By restoring your device to the correct firmware

DEVICES Sold from Q2 2023 afterwards: they are compatible with MIR SPIRO only. If you attempt to connect to WinspiroPRO they will not be recognized by Software and you will be unable to conduct any test.

PLEASE NOTE

After the upgrade from WinspiroPRO to MIR Spiro Platinum, the direct integration to your EMR will no longer be available and will require a third party software for the integration.
